Predators Movie Is Surprisingly Very Good

Damego claims “The New Predators Movie Is Surprisingly Very Good”

Another actor who quickened and animated the new Predators movie was the actor Walton Goggins. I have given this man’s acting props before in his scene stealing role in the FX television series, “Justified;” in Predator, he is at it again and the audience will be rolling in laughter with the delivery of his lines. I know, like me, you might have reservations about seeing a movie in its third incarnation, but do not let this stop you from seeing a very good movie. It must be noted that the new Predators movie had good movie making pedigree since fame director Robert Rodriguez was one of the producers.

More reviews of Predators and mention by Joelle Carter

In another interview with the lovely Joelle Carter, they discussed Justified and Walton was brought up again and here is what was said:

Adam: The show is so well acted, including Walton Goggins’ portrayal of Boyd Crowder. He’s definitely one of the most believable villains on TV. Tell me about your scenes with him. And watching the series again on TV, what did you think of Boyd?

Joelle: I think I might love Boyd’s character as much as I love AVA … maybe? He is given such complex stuff to juggle and performs it with such ease. I feel like Walton finds the deep truth in his characters and plays them full-hearted and it is wonderful to watch and a privilege to be a part of a scene with him. I am a lucky girl.

Adam: In the end of season 1, we saw the showdown between Boyd, his dad, the drug circulations, and Raylan. And you were right in the middle of it. Tell me about the awesomely chaotic season finale.

Joelle: Well, let’s see – there were 15 shootings and 13 deaths. Don’t quote me, but I know it was something crazy like that. I was very happy not to receive any bullet holes or to have any graves dug for Ava. I was thrilled to be in the mix. The scene Tim, Walton and I shot when were trapped in the cabin was pretty intense. They rigged the whole cabin with small explosives to make it look like we were being sprayed with bullets. They basically had one take to get the shot. The three of us were told to cover our heads and close our eyes. I must say, there wasn’t a whole lot of acting required. As soon as the director yelled ‘action’, the room was torn apart and I dug my head in deep and didn’t look up till I heard ‘cut’. It was pretty exciting.

Latest critic reviews of Predators are in!

Here are some of the few reviews rolling in of Predators. Thanks to Manya for the heads up!

The cast in general is surprisingly solid, especially the ineffably cool Alice Braga and a memorable Walton Goggins, who earns most of the films laughs with some off-colour humour.

Walton Goggins was a favorite of mine. He brought the laughs to the film through his deadpan comments and humour. I really enjoyed Stans.

Walton talks about ‘Justified’, being from the South

The 38-year-old, who grew up in Lithia Springs, not only boasts starring roles in the FX hit series “Justified” and the upcoming summer blockbuster “Predators,” but Goggins also got engaged to his girlfriend of five years, screenwriter Nadia Conners (“The 11th Hour”) while on vacation in Mexico last month.

Goggins portrays a serial killer on the other side of the hunt in “Predators”, which opens in theaters Friday.

Earlier this summer, Goggins and I sat down at the Laurel Canyon Country Store, nestled in a quiet hamlet between the Hollywood Hills and San Fernando Valley. Both patrons and the owner alike dropped by our table to say hello; all echoed the same sentiment: Walton is a great guy.

Q: You’ve found a favorite spot in Los Angeles where everyone seems to know you.

A: I think that people try to find a sense of community wherever they go. Coming from the South, I grew up where you could see your neighbors, but they were a fair distance away. A field separated me from my neighbors Kermit and Fanny. So, I grew up with space. Moving to a city with 12 million people it’s hard to find space. Laurel Canyon provides the perfect hybrid for me in this city as it is urban, but it feels very bucolic. It gives me a feeling of home.

Q: Everybody here seems to know you. Do you ever get tired of that?

A: No, everyone has different levels of celebrity and my celebrity is very familiar and familial. Mostly people that come up to me feel like they have the right to do so and it’s usually resulted in a really nice conversation. So, for me, it’s the perfect level of celebrity. People aren’t shy to tell you how they feel about your work, and when you’re working on screen, you’re often working in a vacuum, so it’s nice to have the feedback from people that follow your work.
